All around us, human hands are at work. Some are moving clay and guiding it through alchemical firing processes. Others capture shadows and light with cameras, documenting and reflecting our lives back at us. Together we ride the earth through slow rotations in space, onward into the future.
Contemplate these cycles with an afternoon of short films curated by Paul Creager of the Square Lake Film Festival, screened alongside an installation of pottery by Nick Earl and Alana Cuellar.

Every Mother's Day weekend, seven studios in the St. Croix River Valley invite guest artists and open their doors to the public for a big pottery sale. Guillermo Cuellar and I host the event at his Shafer, MN studio. In 2026 we will welcome guest artists Nick Earl, Minsoo Yuh, Dick Cooter, Beth Bolgla, Bill Jones, Steven Rolf, Shikha Joshi and Ursula Hargens to our studio.
